I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of the Quarry Park Adventures, from the moment I heard about the place it sounded AMAZING! I am happy I was able to walk around and check it out in attending the Summer Concert Series.
I'm sure you have seen them in the news in regards to their delayed opening. I come from a family who has worked in many aspects of the construction field and have worked with my father-in-law in his roofing company so I totally understand. Sometimes you cannot anticipate the costs when it comes to building or starting a business, there are always extra expenses. From my understanding contractors encountered more and denser rock than anticipated in preparing the site which has driven up the costs. I understand they are working closely with the city of Rocklin in approving more funding for the project. They are hoping to open by the end of August.
The delayed opening does not affect the Summer Concert Series which is held at the Platinum Living Amphitheater at Quarry Park. They have cement block seating areas, benches as well as plenty of grassy areas to bring a blanket or your own folding chairs.
You can find out about upcoming events and purchase tickets for the next concert series on their website at https://quarrypark.com/.
There were a variety of merchants from selling snow cones as well as companies giving free things away like Safe Credit Union, Pepsi, ABC 10 News had a green screen where you take a free photo and so many more.
They also had a variety of food for sale like a Cheeseburger with Chips for $10, Grilled Morrel Hotdogs for $4, Beef/Chicken Street Tacos 3/$10 and Loaded Cheesy Nachos for $6 which were amazing.
There were 2 other performers Rachel Steele and another before the Jimmy Buffet Tribute band came up. I enjoyed every one. The Grant Union Highschool drum-line director James Van Buren was there with the band and they did a performance that was amazing. They were raising funds to go to Africa to represent the United States of America. They have been featured on ABC News with Robin Roberts which helped them perform in Washington D.C.
There is a playground for the kids to play on and trails you can walk around. My husband and I attended kid free this time, we enjoyed the music, sites, and people watching. We enjoyed our evening and would love to go back. If you are looking for a date night idea, I recommend the summer concert series. It is also a fun way to let the kids play outside while you enjoy the music and summer evening weather.
Quarry Park is a great gathering place with a picturesque setting for community events, concerts, quiet walks through nature, and active play. Quarry Park is home to an adventure park, amphitheater, trails, open space, and wildlife. It is located at 4060 Rocklin Road.
There are paddle boats out there and there will be Zip Lining, Rock Climbing, and so much more. There are plans for restaurants and something for all ages, experience levels and interests. I hope you will attend some of the Summer Concert Series and other events out there and help bring in revenue to complete this project. When our local establishments thrive it helps our community and surrounding areas. Sacramento needs a place like this nearby. I sure am excited about this venue for a variety of entertainment. I am happy to help cheer them on and eagerly awaiting their grand opening!
