The outdoor, family-friendly Halloween experience will be open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. until Sunday, November 4 except for on Halloween. You can look forward to eight immersive Pumpkin Lands including Pumpkin Pirate Cove, Maravilla Lane, Pumpkin Reef, Spider Alley, Forbidden Pumpkin City, Great Pumpkin Hall, Monster Mash, and Pumpkin Passage.
In addition to the captivating lands, “Pumpkinheads” can explore Pumpkin Central to check all the classic must-dos off their Fall bucket list. Pumpkin Central features a variety of tastes and treats, seasonal beverages, a movie screening of Pixar’s Coco, a pumpkin patch, pumpkin painting and meet and greets with pumpkin artists carving giant pumpkins live. Pumpkin Central will also host performers including fire dancers at the Spirit of Pumpkins Fire Show and activities for the whole family to enjoy in the crisp Fall weather.
This would make a fun family night out or a great date night! My husband and I made it a date night. As you visit each land take a photo of the symbol. At the end of the course, find the wizard, decode the symbols into a word present the word to the wizard and receive a prize. Costumes are welcome, there were both adults and children in costume. If you are going with young children, it would be nice to attend right before it gets dark so you can enjoy the grounds and experience how amazing everything looks lit up at night as well. They have a ton of game stations set up, like corn holes, hula hoops, teeter-totters, a light up tetherball, and a fun kid-sized maze. Plan on making it a fun fall night out and enjoy your time here.
When we first arrived there was a very long line, upon asking we found out that was the line to purchase tickets. So if you already have tickets go directly to the entrance gate, there were about four attendants ready to scan our tickets.
The main entrance sign is amazing, lit with bright lights and smoke coming from the pumpkin!!! I loved seeing the many carved pumpkins as soon as you enter. If you go to the left you will find many vendors selling light up toys, food, kettle corn, cotton candy and so much more. All the food looked and smelled delicious. The funnel cakes were huge.
After checking out the vendors we followed the path to experience all the lands. We loved all the displays, there is so much to look at. My favorite was the Pirate display. We were able to see a fire performer which was really neat and of course since Coco is my favorite Disney-Pixar Movie, I loved all the Coco inspired aspects, the carved pumpkins, the music and running into Dante from Pixar's Coco. We also watched a pumpkin carver in action, making his masterpiece and saw a real life owl.
I highly recommend visiting Pumpkin Nights, there are only four locations, we are really blessed to have one nearby. My husband and I spent just over an hour walking around, if we had our children we would have taken more time at each station. Our tickets were for the 7:30 PM time slot, we had already eaten dinner, next time after seeing the great food options, I would choose an earlier time slot, enjoy dinner there and make it an entire evening. Even though your ticket time slot is for a half hour, when you receive your ticket confirmation e-mail it says right on there "once you are inside stay as long as you like".
