Disney on Ice always does a FANTASTIC job of bringing to life our favorite Disney stories. In Find Your Hero, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy take you on an adventure through favorites like The Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, and Frozen. No matter your age, I tell people Disney on Ice is for both the young and young at heart. I guarantee you'll find yourself singing along. I must say I love seeing my kids' eyes light up as our beloved Disney Characters take the ice. There is dancing, music, amazing choreography, pyrotechnic special effects, and dancing even done in the air.
My parents attended this show along with my niece and two of our boys, I loved hearing about their favorite parts on the drive home. My favorite part of the show was watching Ariel from The Little Mermaid twirl in the air, and the lantern scene from Rapunzel. I loved the "Be Our Guest" performance from Beauty and the Beast and of course, I couldn't help but sing along to "Let it Go" from Frozen, there were so many great parts it is hard to try and just choose one. I love how they find a way to change up each show. We have been to quite a few Disney on Ice Shows, and they always find a way to surprise us.
If your little ones have Disney costumes, feel free to bring them dressed in costume, I love seeing all the mini Disney princesses and mini superheroes. If you would like to see some glimpses of our fun, check out my Instagram stories and follow us on TikTok and Facebook.
If you have not recently attended a Golden 1 Center event here are some things you should know before you go.
No Bag Policy - With the no bag policy, bags will not be allowed in Golden 1 Center. Only small clutches and wallets smaller than 8” x 6” x 1” are permitted and are subject to security inspection. Medical and parental bags will be permitted but must go through X-ray security screening. With the convenience of Apple Pay, I really only need my cell phone, no need to carry a purse.
Mobile Tickets - A valid show ticket is required to enter Golden 1 Center. You can access your mobile tickets on the Sacramento Kings + Golden 1 Center App by logging in using the account information used to claim your tickets. For mobile ticketing directions and more information, click here.
Arrive Early - Give yourself plenty of time to locate your parking spot, get through the security checkpoints, and to find your seats. Another benefit to arriving early is you will avoid the long lines at the concession stands.
Best Golden 1 Center Deal - Refillable Souvenir Cup! At only $10 you will receive unlimited refills and a souvenir cup to take home. Show your Souvenir Cup at the counter and they will give you free refills.
Bring your ears! If you have Disney Park ears, feel free to wear them, it is so fun seeing everyone in their ears. They did have some cool light-up ears for $25. If you purchase the Disney on Ice Cotton Candy you can choose between a souvenir crown or an Olaf hat. IWe picked the crown with our cotton candy and we also bought popcorn that came with a Mickey Pail. We always get Sno-Cones, the kids love drinking out of the sno-cone souvenir cups at home after the event.
Length of Disney on Ice - Each show is two hours long, there is a brief intermission in the middle, which gives you time to use the restroom, stretch your legs and purchase yummy treats! I recommend going right before intermission, (45-55 minutes after start time) because the lines get pretty long for both the restrooms and concessions if you wait until the house lights go on. Or if you can wait about fifteen minutes after intermission, you won't have to wait in long lines.
Recommended Parking - We parked at the Wells Fargo Center (400 Capitol Mall) it was only $13 on Spot Hero and it was an easy quick walk to the event. There is always a crowd of people walking to nearby parking, and security at the nearby crosswalks.
