This Friday, July 16th the NEW Space Jam: A New Legacy is in theaters and on HBO Max.  Are you going to watch it?  Our boys have been asking when this movie comes out for months, they are so excited to go see it.

Many people do not know this is not Space Jam 2, it is not a sequel.  The quick storyline from IMDB.com is: A rogue artificial intelligence kidnaps the son of famed basketball player Lebron James, who then has to work with Bugs Bunny to win a basketball game.

It is crazy to think the original Space Jam came out 25 years ago, in 1996 wow, time flies. My dad is a big Michael Jordan fan, and I remember our family being excited about the movie when I was a teenager, and now my teenager is excited about the new one, it is strange and fun all at the same time.

I must admit, I may be just as excited as our kiddos to go see the movie.  I can't wait to see the classic cartoon characters I grew up watching like The Flintstones', Yogi Bear, all the Looney Tune Characters.  A little fun fact you may not know about me, is my nickname as a little kid was Tweety after Tweety Bird.  Before you say awe isn't that cute, it was because I had a giant forehead, hence Tweety Bird.

If you have not watched the movie trailer you can watch it here on YouTube.

From watching the movie trailer, I like the parenting issue they are tackling, I am excited to see how it plays out in the movie.  They show how a parent has aspirations and dreams for their kids but also how kids have their own dreams.

Here is a great interview clip as well https://youtu.be/BB6r2XGgj3c.

Hearing Lebron say he was twelve years old when the original came out, wow, makes me feel a tad old.  Hope you go check out the movie we are looking forward to watching THIS Friday, July 16th in Theaters and/or HBO Max.
