Father's Day is this Sunday, June 16th and my husband's birthday is on the 19th. I thought I'd share some gift ideas to help you honor the dad's in your life.

My favorite gift that I am so excited about is personalized ties by 21Rhinos.com.  In collaboration with 21Rhinos this past Christmas they gifted me a tie.  I knew I had to order these for Father's Day, I absolutely love the way they turn out. This would make a great gift for the men in your life.  The ties are great quality and come in a variety of styles and colors.  These ties can be personalized with their favorite quote, photo and more.  This is a great way to surprise someone you care about with a fashionable tie that also has personal meaning.  When someone wears this tie, it is a reminder of your love for them and also inspires them to greatness. 21 Rhinos provides the tie and you provide the image that makes it special.  They have a great turn around of 2-3 business days as well!  I have not seen any ties like these, most photo ties I've seen, I don't think my husband would wear to the office.  The men in your life will be happy to wear ties by 21Rhinos!

21Rhinos has generously gifted a tie to giveaway to one of our readers.  You can enter to win on my Instagram and Facebook Page.  You can also use code SHIPBLOG for FREE shipping.  Be sure and place your order by June 4th to ensure delivery in time for Father's Day.  They will continue shipping through June 13th and have a great turn around time, but don't wait they will definitely be busy with Father's Day and Graduation season.

June is for Dad's, Grad's and celebrating the start of Summer!  With the longer daylight hours, I find we grill more and spend more time in the backyard enjoying watermelon, berries, and cherries our favorite summer fruits.  I find dinner is easier, we love grilling meats, veggies and having a salad and dinner is fresh, light and easy.  Grilling helps keep the heat out of the house as well, no need to use the oven or stand in front of a hot stove.  Some of our favorite veggies are corn, summer squash, peppers, green beans,

I had the opportunity to attend Media Night at the Sacramento County Fair before it was open to the public, I had so much fun!  You definitely want to go out and visit the Sacramento County Fair this Memorial Day Weekend at the Cal Expo Fair Grounds May 23-27, 2019.

We have the perfect weather just in time to enjoy the rides, shows, food, and so much more! Admission is ONLY $8 for adults and kids 12 and under get in FREE!

We were able to taste test some delicious foods and desserts, I must admit fair food is one of the many reasons I love going to the fair.

New this year at the Fair is Deep Fried Fanta!  I wasn't too sure how this would taste, I was pleasantly surprised, it really tasted like Fanta Soda.  It was also like a funnel cake and funnel cakes are my all time favorite food.

We also tried Deep Fried Avocado, with Tajin, YUM!!!!
There were Unicorn and Flamingo Shakes that also had cotton candy.  Who doesn't love ice cream and cotton candy.  Look for this stand to find them.

We tried Mini Donuts with Bacon!!!  They were warm, sweet and savory all in one.  These are my boys favorite Fair Food.  Each year we attend they get the mini donuts.
The Chicken and Waffles were my favorite at the Media Night.  I mean how can you go wrong with Chicken and Waffles.  There was a spicy syrup as well as regular.
The Carne Asada Fries with Hot Cheetos were great, loaded with guacamole, and sour cream and nacho cheese sauce, yum!
Another Deep Fried favorite was the Deep Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls.
This Hawaiian Delight was delicious, ice cream, cake and pineapple.
This was a dessert hot dog.  Had a funnel cake middle topped with fruit and whip cream.
If you are looking for Chinese Food find this vendor.  The chicken had amazing flavor.

Grinders Sandwiches and BBQ Sandwiches are a Fair Favorite as well.  The Pastrami and BBQ Beef Tip Sandwich we tasted were delicious.

After you fill up on food you can, of course, take in all the shows and performances, there are over 40 performances and activities.

We were treated to a preview of the Extreme Dog Show and the Duck Races.  They were both so fun.

The Fair is in its 83rd consecutive year celebrating Sacramento.  It is also not just about fun, rides and fair food, they are big at promoting sustainable agriculture and education about how and where our food comes from as part of Sacramento's overall commitment to being a Farm-to-fork leader.

You can also find the Ramos Brothers Circus, Walk on the Wild Side with exotic animals, All-Alaskan Racing Pigs and the Great American Petting Farm.

There are other premium events that require separate admission like The Toughest Monster Truck Tour on Friday night.  I am giving away tickets to this and 2 Fair Admission tickets on my social media pages.  You can enter on my Instagram or Facebook Page.
For more information on the Fair and a daily schedule please visit www.sacfair.com

I love the Sacramento County Fair, there are a ton of your favorite fair foods, rides, and shows.  The Sacramento County Fair is very family friendly and affordable.  The Fair will take place at the Cal Expo Fairgrounds.  Every day is KIDS day at the Sacramento County Fair as kids 12-and-under are FREE, and adult admission is only $8.00! Military Day is May 27th (all military free with valid ID).  Join over 100,000 guests and experience more than 30 carnival rides, dozens of free exhibits, musical guests, and activities all Memorial Day Weekend.  Below are just a few of the events you will find at the Sacramento County Fair.

For the third year in a row, the 2019 Sacramento County Fair will feature the one and only Ramos Bros. Circus. Fair attendees will have the opportunity to experience the ‘Big Top’ with three live shows each day. The two-hour performance is sure to keep everyone on the edge of their seats with wire acts, contortionists, motorcycle dare devils, jugglers, and best of all, aerial acrobatics! The Ramos Bros. Circus is a blend of traditional and contemporary circus, bringing amazement and laughter to all who attend. Featuring 12 performers and a super-cute group of beautiful and talented poodles that are known to steal the show, the Ramos Bros. Circus delivers non-stop family fun to everyone under the Big Top.
Show times will be at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. each day of the fair. Attendance is FREE with fair admission. Tickets for the Fair and Grandstand events will be available for purchase online at www.sacfair.com or at the Sacramento County Fair office.

You can feel the rumblings of the Toughest Monster Truck Tour making its way to the Sacramento County Fairgrounds. On Friday, May 24th at 7 p.m., some of California’s quickest Pro-Arena Trucks will take over the Grand Stand to give fairgoers a non-stop thrill ride. That's right, real, full-sized 1,500 horsepower monster trucks are back at the Sacramento County Fair!
Guests will get the chance to meet the drivers, get autographs, take photos, and even touch the trucks during the Pit Party from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.! The Pit Party is FREE with event admission. Tickets for the Fair and Grandstand events will be available for purchase online at www.sacfair.com or at the Sacramento County Fair office.

PJ Masks will be here!  PJ Masks is a superhero show for preschoolers. The heroes are 6-year-old children Connor, Amaya and Greg. Each gains a special animal power and transforms into Catboy, Owelette and Gekko when they put their pajamas on. As each episode unfolds there are a range of ethical and relational dilemmas the characters navigate and solve to the delight of over 1.6 million Disney Junior TV viewers.

This Memorial Day, May 27, 2019, the Sacramento County Fair is hosting a special appearance for PJ Masks’ Northern California friends. At the Fair, the PJ Masks heroes will pose with children and families and give out Super Hugs. “These mystery-solving superheroes encourage children to spark their curiosity and inspire imaginative play and teamwork along the way,” said Pamela Fyock, chief executive officer of the Sacramento County Fair.

To memorialize and share the meet and greet with friends and family, the Fair will have a professional photographer on hand to capture the moment and make photos available for a small fee. The 30-minute meet and greet sessions at the Sacramento County Fair are Monday, May 27, 2019 at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. and are included with Fair admission. Regular adult admission is $8 and kids 12 and under are always free.
