This is not a sponsored post, just wanted to share for all the local people.  This is my local Antelope Walmart and they have been painting, remodeling, and improving our local store, which was definitely needed, so thank you Walmart!

My friend John Tindall who is normally working in the West Sacramento Walmart has been helping with this process and these pictures below are from his Facebook.  I will share on my Instagram what I spot at the Re-Grand Opening find me over @blogaboutitall. A little side note, John and his family are very involved in Children's Miracle Network, so if you are looking for a great cause to get involved with reach out to John and find out how you can volunteer and make a difference.  I love providing people with contacts and information on how they can give back.
This Walmart located at 7901 Watt Avenue has been under construction the past few months, and now is completely remodeled. I have to be honest during this remodel I have avoided this Walmart and frequented the Super Walmart on Antelope Road, even though it is farther from my house.  I am super excited to see the improvements and I am looking forward to returning and shopping at my local Walmart.
The festivities will begin at 9 AM this FRIDAY, August 30th and go through to about 1 PM.  There will be the ribbon cutting ceremony, in which there will be free food, lots of vendors giveaways and more.  My favorite local dance studio "Studio T" will be performing as well as local, high school marching bands and much more! Check out the remodel and all the fun this Friday, August 30th at Walmart 7901 Watt Avenue off Elverta.
Another reason I wanted to share about this is my favorite local non-profit Sacramento Helping Hands Foundation will be in attendance at the Re-Grand Opening.  They are collecting much needed school supplies for FC Joyce Elementary School in North Highlands.  Although school is already in session this school and teachers NEED your assistance.  They need school supplies!  So while you visit the local Antelope Walmart, I am asking that you pick up some school supplies while you shop and donate them to Sacramento Helping Hands Foundation, they will have a table set up outside the store at the Re-Grand Opening!

This is an easy way to give back right here locally!  Save the date of Saturday, September 14th from 9-Noon, Sacramento Helping Hands will be having a Back to School Block Party.  They will be giving the donated school supplies to FC Joyce, providing FREE haircuts for students and having local community fun.  There will be food, line dancing, giveaways and you can even meet Disney's Woody and Jessie!
I have found many times people and families want to give back somewhere they just don't know where to go or they think they have to give a huge amount to make a difference.
I also love giving back locally when you see the impact right here in our very own community.  Maybe you can be a big sponsor, thank you!  Maybe you can pick up $20 in school supplies while you shop, thank you, $20 can go a long way to these students in need and maybe you can volunteer to help at the event or can contact a business or friend who can get involved, help spread the word.  All of it helps, makes an impact and is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for reading!  Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or need more info on how to get involved with SacHelpingHands.org at theblogaboutitall@gmail.com.

How is summer already over?  This week (August 20-25) is the last week to catch a show at Broadway at Music Circus with the theatre in the round!  Tickets are selling out fast for this last musical "In the Heights".  Visit Broadway Sacramento to purchase your tickets now.

I had never heard of In the Heights until I attended the Broadway at Music Circus Preview Night. We were treated with a rap performance, yes you read right a rap that was phenomenal.  I am so looking forward to seeing this show!

From the creator of the smash hit HAMILTON, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s multiple Tony-winning Best Musical captures the sights and sounds of a vibrant New York City neighborhood on the brink of change, telling the story of a bodega owner whose life is interwoven with residents who visit his store. The thrilling Tony-winning score combines Latin rhythms, hip-hop and pop for an exhilarating journey about chasing your dreams and what it truly means to be home. This is a Broadway At Music Circus premiere. In the Heights will run two hours and fifteen minutes including intermission.

In The Heights will run August 20-25, 2019.

Broadway in the round is an exhilarating musical theatre experience you can’t get anywhere else!  They are doing a fantastic job of developing the next generation and fostering the current generation of talent.  The patrons, donors, staff, and volunteers of Sacramento are keeping the musical theatre alive and well, and I am so grateful for that.
Each summer the Broadway At Music Circus series features new productions of classic musicals with some of the most talented professional actors available, Tony-winning Broadway veterans and stars of touring Broadway, film, and TV. The theatre-in-the-round setting puts audiences so close to the action that they feel like part of the show. It’s been a summer tradition in Sacramento for generations.

We were invited as a Sacramento Broadway Ambassador from Sacramento Top 10 and Get on the Map, thank you to Julie who created the #instayelpatweetasnap community check out her sites to find great Sacramento Events, restaurants, and more!
