 I had never heard of In the Heights until I attended the Broadway at Music Circus Preview Night. We were treated with a rap performance, yes you read right a rap that was phenomenal.  I am so looking forward to seeing this show!
From the creator of the smash hit HAMILTON, Lin-Manuel Miranda’s multiple Tony-winning Best Musical captures the sights and sounds of a vibrant New York City neighborhood on the brink of change, telling the story of a bodega owner whose life is interwoven with residents who visit his store. The thrilling Tony-winning score combines Latin rhythms, hip-hop and pop for an exhilarating journey about chasing your dreams and what it truly means to be home. This is a Broadway At Music Circus premiere. In the Heights will run two hours and fifteen minutes including intermission.

Broadway in the round is an exhilarating musical theatre experience you can’t get anywhere else!  They are doing a fantastic job of developing the next generation and fostering the current generation of talent.  The patrons, donors, staff, and volunteers of Sacramento are keeping the musical theatre alive and well, and I am so grateful for that. Each summer the Broadway At Music Circus series features new productions of classic musicals with some of the most talented professional actors available, Tony-winning Broadway veterans and stars of touring Broadway, film, and TV. The theatre-in-the-round setting puts audiences so close to the action that they feel like part of the show. It’s been a summer tradition in Sacramento for generations.
