I was invited to attend the Broadway on Tour Musical of Disney's Aladdin this past Thursday. WOW!  I have seen quite a few shows this season and this by far was my favorite.  There were so many set changes and costume changes that were visually AMAZING!!!  Before the show I had seen some stock photos on the Broadway website, I had seen a beautiful full-color program before the show, which by the way is part of a giveaway on my Instagram, but anyways pictures just do not do the sets justice.  I am still trying to figure out how they made the Cave of Wonders Scene take place and the Magic Carpet.

Disney's Aladdin musical is here in Sacramento through June 2, 2019! Go buy your tickets now, this would be a great musical to take the entire family to, I saw quite a few families and young kids in attendance.
I loved the entire cast, everyone was fantastic, the Genie played by Major Attaway was simply fabulous.  He sang and danced his heart out, I loved the touches of humor he brought.  He did a fantastic job of bringing to life the Genie character we loved.  You'll hear all the Aladdin classic songs such as Arabian Nights, Proud of Your Boy, Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, A Whole New World and more.  I was pleasantly surprised to hear some of my other favorite Disney songs incorporated into this musical as well, listen for those when you go.  Aladdin who is played by Clinton Greenspan and Jasmine who is played by Kaenaonalani Kekoa were great together.  They have beautiful voices and great chemistry together.  You will be awed by the colorful scenes, costumes and by the orchestra.

What a treat to have Disney's Aladdin right here in Sacramento.  There is a huge Aladdin truck outside the Sacramento Community Theater, and I found out why they needed it.
The set for Aladdin weighs over 67 tons.  There are 2 million Swarovski Crystals that cover the set and costumes of Disney's Aladdin and the Cave of Wonders has the same golden finish as Star Wars' C3PO.  There is so much to look at on the stage, the Cave of Wonders left me speechless.

I, of course, love all things Disney, but I love that this musical had all the main scenes and songs from the 1992 Animated Disney film.  I feel like Aladdin is taking over and it's a very good thing.  The NEW live-action remake of Aladdin is set to hit cinemas on May 24th. I love that I was able to see the Broadway on Tour Aladdin Musical with my sister, we both loved the animated film as well as we love the MAC Cosmetic Aladdin collection that just debuted as well.
Disney Theatrical Productions, a division of the Walt Disney Studios, was formed in 1994.  Worldwide, its ten Broadway titles have been seen by over 160 million theatergoers and have been nominated for 62 Tony Awards, winning Broadway's highest honor twenty times.  With more than twenty productions currently produced or licensed, a Disney musical is being performed professionally somewhere on the planet virtually every hour of the day.
The show I attended started at 8 PM, the show was approximately two and a half hours, there were two Acts with a twenty-minute intermission in between.  You will find a gold Genie Lamp to take a photo with, in the lobby as well as a store with official Disney Aladdin Merchandise.

SHOW CONTENT: Based on the 1992 animated Disney hit, this stage adaptation features many of the beloved characters and music of the film as well as lavish costumes and sets. The villain of the show may be frightening to some younger children. There is some implied violence, but nothing graphic. Very young children may not have the attention span for this full-length production. BE ADVISED: This show contains the use of strobe effects.
