I had the opportunity to attend Media Night at the Sacramento County Fair before it was open to the public, I had so much fun!  You definitely want to go out and visit the Sacramento County Fair this Memorial Day Weekend at the Cal Expo Fair Grounds May 23-27, 2019.

We have the perfect weather just in time to enjoy the rides, shows, food, and so much more! Admission is ONLY $8 for adults and kids 12 and under get in FREE!

We were able to taste test some delicious foods and desserts, I must admit fair food is one of the many reasons I love going to the fair.

New this year at the Fair is Deep Fried Fanta!  I wasn't too sure how this would taste, I was pleasantly surprised, it really tasted like Fanta Soda.  It was also like a funnel cake and funnel cakes are my all time favorite food.

We also tried Deep Fried Avocado, with Tajin, YUM!!!!
There were Unicorn and Flamingo Shakes that also had cotton candy.  Who doesn't love ice cream and cotton candy.  Look for this stand to find them.

We tried Mini Donuts with Bacon!!!  They were warm, sweet and savory all in one.  These are my boys favorite Fair Food.  Each year we attend they get the mini donuts.
The Chicken and Waffles were my favorite at the Media Night.  I mean how can you go wrong with Chicken and Waffles.  There was a spicy syrup as well as regular.
The Carne Asada Fries with Hot Cheetos were great, loaded with guacamole, and sour cream and nacho cheese sauce, yum!
Another Deep Fried favorite was the Deep Fried Macaroni and Cheese Balls.
This Hawaiian Delight was delicious, ice cream, cake and pineapple.
This was a dessert hot dog.  Had a funnel cake middle topped with fruit and whip cream.
If you are looking for Chinese Food find this vendor.  The chicken had amazing flavor.

Grinders Sandwiches and BBQ Sandwiches are a Fair Favorite as well.  The Pastrami and BBQ Beef Tip Sandwich we tasted were delicious.

After you fill up on food you can, of course, take in all the shows and performances, there are over 40 performances and activities.

We were treated to a preview of the Extreme Dog Show and the Duck Races.  They were both so fun.

The Fair is in its 83rd consecutive year celebrating Sacramento.  It is also not just about fun, rides and fair food, they are big at promoting sustainable agriculture and education about how and where our food comes from as part of Sacramento's overall commitment to being a Farm-to-fork leader.

You can also find the Ramos Brothers Circus, Walk on the Wild Side with exotic animals, All-Alaskan Racing Pigs and the Great American Petting Farm.

There are other premium events that require separate admission like The Toughest Monster Truck Tour on Friday night.  I am giving away tickets to this and 2 Fair Admission tickets on my social media pages.  You can enter on my Instagram or Facebook Page.
