With Christmas almost here, we have a lot of get-togethers, school parties, work potlucks, goody boxes, and tins we like to make and gift our neighbors.  Making homemade baked goods, candy, and holiday treats for our neighbors is a yearly tradition.  I remember making cookies and treats with my mom every Christmas and gifting them to our friends and family, now my boys enjoy helping me bake and they love delivering treats to our neighbors.

Yesterday was National Cookie Day and I feel it is timed perfectly, as we are entering the holiday baking season.  With Christmas, I have a lot of baking planned in the next few weeks.  Your holiday baking essentials can be found at Lucky Supermarkets.  Check out this easy recipe for homemade Crock Pot White Chocolate Candy

Remember to pick up festive Ziplock containers for your holiday treats.  Spruce it up with Christmas ribbon, a bow, twine, and a gift tag!  Another idea is to add a mini holiday spatula and include the recipe. While at Lucky's I spotted these cute Christmas take out containers that would be perfect for gifting holiday treats.

Using Almond Bark is an easy way to add a homemade touch to a store bought item.  You can dip pretzel rods in melted chocolate, add festive sprinkles and you'll have an easy homemade treat.  You can even dip store-bought cookies like Oreos, Nutter Butters, or Pepperidge Farm Cookies.  Another easy gift idea is to make your own Holiday Trail Mix blend (pretzels, Chex-mix, Christmas M&M's, dried cherries or cranberries) place it in those festive Christmas take out containers, and you'll have a nice treat to gift.
If you are not baking this season, visit your local Lucky Supermarket and pick up some of their ready-made holiday treats.  They have a variety of holiday cookies, cupcakes, and more.  Ready for you to share with your co-workers or send with your kids' to school for those Christmas parties.  Although I love homemade goodies, I always welcome and appreciate a little help during this busy season.
