As a busy family on the go I am very grateful for all the help I can get when it comes to meal time. I especially need the extra help during soccer season and the upcoming holidays, when our schedule can be quite full. I was so excited to learn that in partnership with DoorDash, customers can get their meal time favorites from Save Mart and Lucky Supermarkets delivered.
I've used DoorDash before, usually to order from our local pizza or fast food. With the addition of Save Mart I love that we now have the option for items like a Rotisserie Chicken. My kiddos would eat pizza everyday if I let them, it's nice to have some healthier options even when I am not making a home cooked meal.

DoorDash offers shoppers a quick, on-demand delivery of hot food items like whole Rotisserie Chickens, Chicken Tender Bites, salads, custom-made sandwiches as well as side dishes and desserts. Menu hours are open from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM daily.
Using DoorDash was simple and quick. I already had the App downloaded on my phone, I opened the app, searched for Save Mart, once selected you will see a list of featured items. As you scroll down you can select Popular Items, Sandwiches, Made to Order Sandwich, Chicken Tenders, Chicken Tender Bites, Wings, Fried Chicken, Rotisserie Chicken, Meal Side Items, Chips, Drinks, and Desserts.

Depending on your local Save Mart or Lucky Supermarket, the menu items may vary based on the stores prepared hot food selection.
As you select your menu items, you can add special instructions and click "Add to Order". Once you've completed adding items, click view cart and then continue. Check the promo section, if you are a first time DoorDash user you may have a first time free delivery promo code available. Many times you will also have free delivery with an order over a specific dollar amount.

Once you place your order, you will receive a text that says they will let you know when your Dasher has picked up your order. Twenty minutes after placing our order I received a text saying my order had been picked up from Save Mart and my Dasher was on the way. Fifteen minutes later I received a text saying "Your Dasher Michael is approaching with your order from Save Mart Supermarket. Enjoy your meal!"

 You can also open the app while waiting and it will give you an estimated time of arrival, keeping you updated on the status of your order.
I loved the text update knowing my order had been picked up and was on its way. I don't know about your kiddos, mine always ask "is dinner done yet?" It was nice to be able to confidently let them know it was on its way and would arrive shortly.

This past Saturday we had three soccer games and one was across town. By the time we headed home, I was not feeling like making dinner and did not want to go through the drive through. It was very convenient to go home, the kiddos were able to shower and get started on their evening routine, we unloaded the soccer gear from the car, cleaned up around the house and had dinner ordered and on its way.

Last night we attended the Disney on Ice opening night of "Worlds of Enchantment" at the Golden 1 Center.  We were ecstatic to see Mickey, Minnie and friends as they introduced us to some of our Disney favorites, Disney Pixar’s Cars, The Little Mermaid, Frozen and the Toy Story gang.  You can catch the Worlds of Enchantment show at the Golden 1 Center all this weekend November 7-10, 2019.  
As part of the media, we were treated to pre-show fun.  I am so grateful for these unique and special opportunities.  They had fun arts and crafts as well as delicious fruit skewers, this all heightened the excitement for a magical evening. We also had a special visit from Mickey and Minnie who were stylish in their racing gear, Lighting McQueen style.  We were so excited to have our picture taken with them, it is always nice to experience some Disney magic right here in our hometown of Sacramento. 

Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy opened the show and made appearances between each set change to introduce the different “worlds”.  They first introduce us to the Toy Story gang, then we dive under the sea with The Little Mermaid followed by an intermission.

My kiddos favorite part was Toy Story, they loved the soldiers who marched and danced, and were entertained with the parachuting soldier and claw that came from the ceiling.
As a mom I greatly appreciate the intermission time which is about 15-20 minutes, great for bathroom breaks, no one misses the show and it is nice to get up and stretch your legs.  After intermission we are introduced to Cars and then the night ends with time in Arendelle with Frozen.

 We loved singing along with all our favorite songs from Cars, Frozen and The Little Mermaid, during Toy Story, they share some adult favorite tunes with Ken and Barbie such as "Dream Weaver" and "Le Frec".  I love watching the adults enjoy themselves just as much as the kids, dancing and singing along.  Another one of our Disney on Ice favorites are the pyrotechnic flashes during action parts. 
Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment did not disappoint!  It was magical and exciting!  Disney did a great job with set design and costumes, don’t they always! I did notice an increase in concession stand prices.  Snow Cone Souvenir cups were $18, Cotton Candy was $18, Popcorn was $15 in a tote or $18 with a Mickey Bucket.  We appreciate the refillable souvenir cup which is $11.  You receive a bracelet and unlimited soda refills, we also enjoyed the nachos which were $8. Attending Disney on Ice definitely provides fun family memories, we have taken our kiddos for years, they look forward to going each year.  

You can reserve parking ahead of time with SacPark.org or ParkingPanda.com.  It is super easy, I reserved parking right on my phone, it gave me a QR code to scan.  Most parking garages are a short walk, and there are crowds of people parking and walking with you to and from the Golden One Center.  I chose the 520 Capitol Mall Garage, the entrance is on N Street and is a quick walk. Even at night, it was well lit, and there are crowds of people parking and walking with you to and from Golden One Center.  If it is your first time visiting the Golden One Center, I recommend you give yourself plenty of time to arrive and locate parking, especially allocate time for traffic flow.  There are quite a few parking garages to choose from or street parking if available.

TIPS

  • Popcorn comes with a Disney tote for $15, or in a bucket for $18. 
  • Cotton Candy comes with a Souvenir hat and is $18.
  • If you have little ones that want to dress in their princess dresses or Disney costumes, do it, there are many kids dressed up.  My boys usually wear their favorite Disney T-Shirt.
  • My boys love that I bring glow in the dark necklaces/bracelets from the dollar store. They do sell spinning and light up toys, being a frequent Disney on Ice attendee, they already have the spinning and light up toy and sword. 
  • Plan on the show with intermission lasting 7 PM to 9 PM.
  • Baby bags, plastic bottles, and formula are permitted in Golden 1 Center as long as the bag is no larger than 16” x 16” x 8".
  • Child Admission: In most instances, children under twenty-four (24) months of age are admitted free of charge in Golden 1 Center for events provided that they sit on an adult’s lap. Disney on Ice Worlds of Enchantment Review | Sacramento Golden 1 Center 2019

With my husband and I on Keto I thought I'd share some gift ideas that would be great for your friends and family on Keto!  These are some of our favorite products and gadgets that are useful with our Keto eating lifestyle.

Spiralizer - I love my spiralizer for making zoodles (noodles from zuchinni).  Although my main use of this item is for making zoodles my boy love to use it with apples and more. I have had my spiralizer for a few years now and I love that it comes with other blades for more slicing options.  
Fitbit Fitness Tracker -  A step-tracking bracelet is a great gift for anyone you know who would like to move more.  With the new year around the corner, many people make fitness goals and this would make a great Christmas gift to inspire them to achieve those goals.   I have had a UP by Jawbone and most recently a Fitbit, they all work great, and there are many styles available.  Knowing my daily step count definitely keeps me motivated to stay active throughout the day.

10 Christmas Gift Ideas for Your Friends and Family on Keto
With my husband and I on Keto I thought I'd share some gift ideas that would be great for your friends and family on Keto!  These are some of our favorite products and gadgets that are useful with our Keto eating lifestyle.

It's great when you find that meaningful gift that perfectly fits the person you are gifting.  Sometimes it can be difficult to shop for the person who has everything as well as those who are trying to eat healthier.  Some of my past favorites like Moose Munch from Harry and David or specialty cookies and treats are no longer helpful to those on the Keto lifestyle.  I think we all desire to gift items that are thoughtful and usable. Some people think gift cards are not personable, many times I resort to a gift card or a food item, rather than another mug, or candle, unless I know for certain that the candle or mug is perfect for that person.  I want to give them something they will enjoy and not end up re-gifting because they can't use it.

Coffee Gear - Bulletproof Coffee is popular with Keto eaters.  While I drink regular coffee, with heavy whipping cream and my favorite sugar-free syrup, any coffee gear would make a great gift for the Keto coffee drinker in your life.  I love my Keurig machine, an espresso machine would make a great gift as well.  Coffee pods if they already have a Keurig, MCT oil to go in their coffee or their favorite coffee grounds.   You can find bulletproof coffee pods and grounds on Amazon. 
Jordan's Skinny Syrups - These are my favorite, they have me dreaming of my next cup of joe, they have a variety of flavors.  My favorites are Salted Caramel, Mocha and Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll.  You can find these on Amazon or on their website.  A sampler box would be a great gift for the Keto coffee lover in your life. Spiralizer - I love my spiralizer for making zoodles (noodles from zuchinni).  Although my main use of this item is for making zoodles my boy love to use it with apples and more. I have had my spiralizer for a few years now and I love that it comes with other blades for more slicing options.  
Fitbit Fitness Tracker -  A step-tracking bracelet is a great gift for anyone you know who would like to move more.  With the new year around the corner, many people make fitness goals and this would make a great Christmas gift to inspire them to achieve those goals.   I have had a UP by Jawbone and most recently a Fitbit, they all work great, and there are many styles available.  Knowing my daily step count definitely keeps me motivated to stay active throughout the day.  

Ketofit Bars - These are my favorite Keto Bars, they are delicious and only 3g net carbs.  They have big chunks of chocolate and keep your macros in check.  You can order a box of 12 bars for $40.  Use promo code BLOG to save 20%.
Orgain Collagen Peptitides - I have been using this Collagen Powder in my coffee all year and I love it.  It was recommended to me by a physical therapist when I had my bulging disc pain.  One of the benefits of Collagen Powder is joint support and muscle recovery.  There are many other benefits as well, healthy skin, hair, nails and more.  You take two scoops in your morning coffee, you can also blend in smoothies or bake in food.  This is the only brand I have tried, I buy the unflavored one, it dissolves quickly, The link below is only $24.97, I buy the larger 2.2 lb. container since I use it daily.  They also sell flavored options like Vanilla and Chocolate.
Keto Cookbooks - There are a ton out there, you can find on-line or at your local bookstore.  Search Keto Cookbook on Amazon and you will see their best sellers. 

Mini Waffle Maker - If you are familiar with the chaffle craze among Keto eaters, this is a fun gift that will get plenty of use.  Pair this gift with some Birch Benders Keto Pancake and Waffle Mix, you can find this on Amazon too.  I've seen Mini Waffle Makers for $9.99 on Amazon as well as at Target, Kohl's, JCPenney and Walmart.  
ChocZero Products - They have a variety of products from baking chips, sugar free syrups, chocolate and more!  These make great gift items because these are items I enjoy but do not frequently splurge on.  You can find these products on Amazon as well.
Keto Primal Kitchen Kit - They have a variety of bundles that come with Keto and Paleo friendly mayo, ketchup, avocado oil, marinade and dressings.  You can build your own bundle or order the Keto Starter Kit for $40. You can order from their website and have them shipped.  
As a Keto eater, I would be very appreciative that for any gift on this list.  I would be grateful that you took the time to gift me something I could use, gifting with my Keto lifestyle in mind is a simple way to show your support of my new way of eating and many of the items are items I love but don't splurge on for myself often enough.  I hope you find this list helpful this Christmas season shopping for the Keto friends and family in your life.
