If you follow us on Social Media then you already know we recently visited Texas, so scroll down a bit to get to the food details.  Sharing a little intro for those who have not read my other two posts on "The Old Church" and "Things to Do" at the Silos Grounds.

We love watching HGTV's Fixer Upper with Chip and Joanna Gaines and love following their journey, so while in Texas a visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, TX is a must.  I have visited Texas before, we have family that lives in Brownsville, TX, which is way South, so we had not visited Waco before.

If you are traveling to Texas and within a two hour drive I would definitely recommend a visit to Magnolia Market at the Silos.  I wouldn't necessarily plan a complete vacation just to visit there, unless you are a super mega fan I guess, but it is definitely worth a drive if you are in the area or have other things planned in Texas.

We flew into Dallas, TX and it was about a one and half hour drive to the Silos.  It is quite inspiring to see what one dream can expand into.  There is something for everyone at Magnolia Market at the Silos, shopping, outdoor games, delicious food, a garden store and even a baseball diamond complete with concession stand.

You can find Magnolia Market at the Silos at 601 Webster in Waco, TX.  They are open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 6 PM.  You'll take Exit 335A, turn on 4th Street, Left on Webster.  There is a parking lot right at the corner that costs $10 or you can find street parking if available.  You can also park further down there are more parking lots and they have a FREE Silo District Trolley that will give you a lift. The Trolley runs every 15-20 minutes. We found street parking and we visited on a busy Saturday afternoon.  While it was busy, there was a steady flow of both people coming and going, it did not seem too packed.

I want to make sure you know their restaurant is not at the Silos grounds, it is located at 2132 S. Valley Mills Drive. Reservations must be made well in advance to eat inside the restaurant Magnolia Table. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance, I hear reservations go quick!  Our visit was kind of spontaneous, when I looked into reservations they were all booked. They do take some some walk-ins, but as you can imagine, the line and wait is long.  There are plenty of food options at the Silos Grounds, they have food trucks including their very own that serve food from the Silos Baking Co and from Magnolia Table, no need to despair if you do not get a reservation.

Now onto the food . . .

Aside from home décor another big reason people visit is for the delicious food. Magnolia Table is famous for Joanna's Chicken Salad Sandwich and her homemade Buttermilk Biscuits served with Strawberry Butter.

The Silo Baking Co is famous for their cupcakes.  People rise before dawn to get in line for these goodies.  A popular cupcake is the Lemon Lavender and people also rave about their cookies.

I was beyond ecstatic when I saw they had their very own Food Trucks that served select items from Magnolia Table and even a Silo Baking Co Food Truck.  How smart is that!!! Such a brilliant business move.

We of course bee lined it for the Magnolia Table Food Truck we were going to order the sandwich sampler, but it was sold out.  We went with Jo's famous Chicken Salad sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuits which are served with Strawberry butter.  The chicken salad was perfect, served on a delicious flaky croissant.  The Chicken Salad sandwich is made with rotisserie chicken, red grapes, green onions, chopped pecans and mayonnaise.  You can find the recipe in Joanna's cookbook, I need to make this at home, it was delicious.

The Buttermilk Biscuits with Strawberry butter was exactly as I imagined, warm, and scrumptious. pairs perfectly with the fresh made whipped strawberry butter. Did you know you can order Joanna's Biscuits and have them delivered to you?  Yup, at ShopMagnolia

After seeing the super long line to get into Silos Baking Co, we decided to walk around first in hopes the line would shorten.  Well to our surprise we spotted the Silos Baking Co Food Truck and there was ONLY 2-3 people in line, it must be that people don't know they have their own Food Truck literally right around the corner from the bakery itself.  As we hung around we did see they sell out of certain items, they also re-stock from the bakery.  I think everything was affordable and reasonably priced.  Cupcakes were $3.50 and cookies were $2.50.

We ordered the Carrot Cake Cupcake and the Strawberries N' Cream Cupcake. I am not joking when I say it was the best cupcake I have eaten in my entire life.  It was most and flavorful, the frosting had the perfect amount of sweetness.  The cupcakes tasted heavenly,  I now know why the line was so long.  I hear from others that have visited, although the lines can be long, they move rather quickly.  So if you have your heart set on going into the bakery and have the time, maybe you should give it a try.

We also ate at the H.O.T. Dog House food truck.  Hot right off the grill, that perfect sausage style crunch and topped with all kinds of yummy toppings, I mean bacon on a dog, OMG, yum!

Don't forget they have the Concession Stand that sells snacks such as nacho's, pretzels, peanuts and more near the Baseball field. We purchased a soda from here at one point during the day.

On the Silos Grounds there are a variety of Food Trucks as well as some other Vendors.  A popcorn vendor "Chucks Gourmet Popcorn" which I hear has the best caramel corn around, I was too full to eat popcorn but I should have bought a bag to go, I for sure will next time!  They have a shaved ice truck Summer Snow and more.

When we visited they had a Pizza Food Truck a Grilled Cheese Food Truck (Cheddar Box), Alabama Sweet Tea, which served giant mason jar type glasses of sweet tea.  As we walked around it seemed like everyone had the Sweet Tea in hand.

I am told that the Food Trucks can vary depending on the season, you can see a list of the current food trucks and food truck hours on their website Magnolia

There is plenty of seating outdoors, some have covered shade.  There are quite a few benches throughout the property as well.  There is so much good food, if I lived in the area, I would frequent here often.  I love me some great Food Truck food!

On our next visit to Waco, TX I definitely want to make it to Magnolia Table, I hear a couple of must have items are the Elevated Tater Tots, the Lemon Lavender Donut Holes, and the Nutty Cinnamon Roll.
