The NEW "Fandemic Tour" formerly known as Comic-Con debuts this weekend at the Sacramento Convention Center June 22-24, 2018.  My family was so excited to attend the opening day on Friday.  We had a great time!  Kids 10 and under are always free with a paid adult admission. You can purchase tickets to attend this Saturday or Sunday here:

Fandemic Tour is a comic convention that brings together celebrities, well-known and emerging comic artists, cosplay and exhibitors with unique pop culture merchandise.  It is the place for cosplay, with fans young and old showing off their best costumes throughout the event. Fans dressed as every imaginable character.  My four boys dressed as Batman, Iron Man, Spiderman and Captain America.  What a great entourage I was escorted around by.

You can attend Saturday, June 23rd from 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday, June 24th 10 AM to 4 PM.  Tickets for Saturday are $45 and $40 for Sunday.  A Fandemic Fanatic VIP pass is $150, which will get you access to the convention for all three days, early admission, fast pass for photo ops and autographs, a swag bag and VIP-reserved seating at panels.

They have a great schedule for Saturday and Sunday! They have panel discussions with Q&A, there are authors, photo ops, a variety of artists and programming that discuss topics like "Body Image and Acceptance" with Chunky Girl Comics, who was recently featured on Good Day Sacramento

You can come and chat with Marisa Garcia, the creator of Chunky Girl Comics and her crew about celebrating the differences in all of us that make cosplay so fantastic! They will also talk about the challenges and the struggles of dealing with body image issues and how we can triumph in what can be a cruel world. Laughs, silliness and audience participation requested! Sunday, June 24th at 3 PM Stage Two/Rm. 202.
*Free Chunky Girl Comics Disney Princess or Hogwarts Print for attendees, while they last!!*

My niece is a HUGE Bella Twins fan (as seen on WWE) she is super excited about attending on Sunday to see them.
Sean Gunn as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy and Gilmore Girls will be here all weekend.  Chris Sullivan as seen in This is Us and Guardians of the Galaxy will be here all weekend.

Christian Kane as seen in the Librarians and Leverage one of my favorites will be in Concert Saturday 6 PM room 105 tickets are only $20.
This is definitely the place to pick up unique and custom merch!  From t-shirts to shoes.  There are cooking mittens, purses and so much more! My boys picked up the popular Funko Pops of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for only $10 each.

ABC News 10 had a FREE photo booth with a green screen where you can choose your scene, pose with props and have it e-mailed to you.  My boys enjoyed this, we did it a few times.
There is a Tabletop Gaming Room open throughout the entire event.  Bring your cards, tiles, dice, maps, books, boards, markers, and cones! All games, all day long!

There are Speed Dating SessionsTired of being single? Looking for a fellow superfan? Try their speed dating! They will guide you through a series of 5-minute dates, see who you clicked with and give you the tools to go forward! You can do this Saturday 11-12:30pm, 1-3pm, and 5-7pm. Sunday 11-12:30 and 1-3pm.

You can participate in "Building Star Wars" with The 501st Legion.  They are an all-volunteer organization formed for the express purpose of bringing together costume enthusiasts under a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion seeks to promote interest in Star Wars through the building and wearing of quality costumes with the support of Disney/LFL and to facilitate the use of these costumes for Star Wars-related events as well as contributions to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work with the community.

The Sacramento Ghostbusters are there they are a Non-Profit Charity Cosplay, based in the Sacramento Area. Their mission is to help make a difference in our community. I grew up watching Ghostbusters so I love chatting with them.
The West Coast Avengers are there they are proud to put its resources to good use through charity work and volunteerism.
Sac Geeks is another Fan Group in attendance.  Whether you're into science fiction, fantasy, anime, gaming, technology, literature, art, cosplay, movies, and/or other aspects of popular culture, as a fan it's always fun to meet with other impassioned individuals to geek out!

The Sacramento Astromech Builders are another fan group in attendance they are a group of people in the Sacramento and surrounding areas who build Star Wars Droids for fun. These droids are awesome, they play music, move around and more.
We enjoyed walking around looking at the all the cool merchandise and interacting with those in costume, both fans and groups in attendance.  If you are looking for a fun way to stay out of this Sacramento summer heat this weekend, visit the Fandemic Tour in the air-conditioned Sacramento Convention Center.
