Do you have or know children that love animals? An adventure is sure to be had by any and all who visit SeaQuest in Folsom, CA. Located in the Palladio at Broadstone shopping area, our family had the pleasure of visiting recently and we built memories sure to last a lifetime. SeaQuest is a unique interactive learning experience about all types of animals, sea creatures, bird, fish and so much more. Don't make the same mistake I did by thinking that we will only see a few fish and an aquatic creature of two, our entire crew was very surprised. We were all really impressed by how much discovery and learning is involved with so many hands-on experiences. Ranging in age from 11 to 4 my boys were having so much fun they didn't realize they were also learning about during our tour. You really become immersed so much more than most Zoo's or aquariums because of the ability to touch, pet, feed and interact with the exhibits.
I am excited to be partnering with SeaQuest and giving away a family pack of 4 daily passes and 10 tokens (valued at $70). You can enter to win on my Instagram and Facebook pages I will place the links at the end of this post.
At SeaQuest you will see, touch and fed all sorts of fish, birds, rabbits, goats, pigs and of course as the name SeaQuest indicates a variety of other sea creatures. My favorite part of our adventure was the Sting Rays. They will eat pieces of fish right from your hand! Another must stop is the Lorikeet Landing area, where you can actually enter and feed the Rainbow Lorikeet.
Conveniently located, SeaQuest immerses you in a complete world of adventure. With exhibits packed to the gills with flashy fish, brightly-colored birds, riveting reptiles and more, it’s a splash of adventure for families and kids of all ages.
There are themed rooms that you walk in such as the Amazon Rainforest room, The Fantasy Caves of New Zealand, The Egyptian Desert Room, Carribean Cove and more. Throughout the rooms, you will find signs with cool facts such as "Creature Feature" and "Where in the World?" information. Some signs and TV's feature slides with "Did You Know?" facts and information about the exhibit.
We attended during Spring Break on a weekday there was quite a line when we arrived. Thankfully we had a tour scheduled, so our SeaQuest Tour guide came out and called our name, so we did not have to stand in line long. If you are able to go during a weekday I highly recommend it as they are busier on the weekends. I also highly recommend scheduling a tour. Our tour guide was so informative, friendly and helpful. She was great with all the questions my little guy had.
We stayed for about two hours, we were able to feed a few different types of fish, rabbits, and Sting Rays. Feeding the Sting Rays was my favorite, if you ask my three-year-old he says feeding the rabbits were his favorite. They rabbits hopped right over to him and ate the food right from his hand. You can purchase tokens to purchase food to feed the animals. If you take a tour, some tokens will be provided for you.
There is a giant Sea Shell bench near the Sting Ray exhibit as well as a concession area, where snacks and drinks are sold. You can take a picture with a Mermaid on the Sea Shell bench. Only one of my boys would let me take their picture with the Mermaid.
