I love looking through the grocery circular's each week and finding out what is on sale.  That is a great tip in menu planning for your family, meal plan with what is in season and what is on sale.  This is a great week to stock up on meat at Lucky California! Another tip in menu planning is to know what you already have in your refrigerator and cupboards.  Many times we have the items to make a great meal already you may just need to purchase the fresh produce and meat to go with the pantry staples you already have.  Part of my menu planning strategy is to look through my cupboards and refrigerator/freezer to see what I already have to work with.  This also keeps me from allowing food items to go bad.
