Our family attended Fairytale Town's Safe and Super Halloween in Oz this past weekend.  This was our first time at this event, it was the 33rd Annual event, I had no idea.  We have visited Fairytale Town many times over the years but had not attended their Halloween event.  We had an absolute blast!  It was a lot of fun, there was a variety of activities from crafts, games, photo spots and FULL SIZE Candy Bars!!!  Some stations also handed out small prize like items (bracelets, stickers, pencils, etc.).
I loved seeing all the families in costume and so did my little guy.  It was the cutest thing, he was dressed as Buzz Lightyear and every-time he saw another Buzz or Woody or Toy Story friend, he would run up and high five and even hug.  All the kids were excited about their costumes, I loved it.
This year's theme was "Wizard of Oz", the main stage had characters from the movie for a photo op.  The characters were so fun to interact with!  We saw the Tin Man, Dorothy, the Lion, and more.

This event is held annually on a Saturday and Sunday for two weekends from 5-9 PM.  You definitely want to keep this event in mind for next year!  Our family does not do the traditional door-to-door trick or treating, we love attending local events like this.
One of the perks of this event is there is a playground, the famous Red Shoe Slide, Animals, and more.  This is especially helpful if you have little ones, not only do they get to walk around and "trick-or-treat" at the different stations, they can just hang out and play.  There were 15 locations to trick-or-treat, when you arrive you are given a map with the list of activities.
I recommend you arrive early, and purchase your tickets ahead of time.  The line to purchase tickets at the gate was very long.  Although I must say it seemed to be moving quickly and I was pleasantly surprised at how well everything flowed.  When I saw the long line outside the gate to purchase tickets, I thought it might be super crowded inside. With plenty of activities and stations are spread-out throughout Fairytale Town, it did not seem crowded once inside.  I saw many families arriving throughout the evening.  They also had a snack bar inside and booths throughout Fairytale Town selling popcorn and other treats.

A huge thank you to this kind couple dressed as pirates who posed with my boys in front of the pirate ship and reminded my boys you are never too old to dress up in a costume!
