I love Fall! It finally felt like a Fall morning here in Sacramento, it was chilly this morning and has turned into a beautiful day. Do you have a Fall bucket list? If you do, I'm sure visiting a pumpkin patch is on your list. We try and visit a few throughout the Fall season, I love being out with my family, spending time together, enjoying the cooler weather and taking in all the Fall sights.
Be sure to visit the Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival this Fall season! The Pumpkin Festival is open every Saturday and Sunday, September 29th through October 28th, 11 AM to 6 PM, every weekend. Check out their website for the full schedule of events.
This is only the 2nd Annual Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival and I would love to see them grow and continue for many years. I love supporting our local businesses, so please go out and support our local pumpkin fun at Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival.
Parking is only $5 per vehicle, you will be directed where to park and then you can visit the ticket table to purchase your wristbands to participate in all the activities.
They have a variety of costume characters visiting (Daily 12PM-2PM; 3PM-5PM). Today, when we visited Jack Skelleton, was there. I love that he was in true character, interacting with everyone, and ready for a close-up or group photo.
My boys loved climbing the Straw Hay Pyramid.
They have a Straw Bale Maze.
We enjoyed the train ride and climbing aboard the Haddock's Hay Wagon to go and pick out our pumpkins.
They have a variety of games to play as well as plenty of jump houses.
They have a beautiful photo op board and pumpkins all around that make for great pictures.
If you live here locally, it is nice that the Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival is so close. They are located at 8556 Gibson Ranch Road, in Elverta. While I love visiting Apple Hill and Bishops Pumpkin Farm, it takes us over an hour to go visit those places and it ends up taking our entire Saturday. It was so nice to be able to go to our boys Saturday morning soccer games, go home for a little while, visit the Gibson Ranch Pumpkin Festival and still have time in our Saturday.
It has been a while since I last visited Gibson Ranch, I had forgotten how big it is out there, we have visited before for birthday parties and family gatherings. They have a beautiful property, with picnic tables, the lake, there is a park, you could plan to have a picnic and make a day of it if you wanted.
