I help people with their budgets and so many times I come across people who think they don't have any money to put in savings, extra money to put towards debt or have money for a vacation.  I have found in my own personal budget and in working with others, the category with the most flexibility or that you have the most control over is your grocery/food budget.  Here are a few simple ways I save on groceries.
You can add money to your monthly budget starting today!  By using these tips it can be just as if you received a raise.  My number one tip is to shop at the grocery store with the most savings, look at the weekly circular and shop what is on sale.  Recently while shopping at Lucky, 200 El Paseo de Saratoga, San Jose, CA they had a display showing you the savings with a grocery cart and detailed receipts showing you can save 16% just by shopping at Lucky compared to other stores. This is important to be aware of, I remember many years ago, my husband had a favorite grocery store, we went grocery shopping at a different store that wasn't necessarily his favorite, but he saw we were able to purchase double the groceries for the same price.
Another way I save at the grocery store is by using coupons!  There are HUGE savings with coupons!  Couponing is easier now than ever before, with digital coupons and money saving apps like Ibotta.  You can sign in to your Lucky Rewards account and add digital coupons right to your account.  Many times coupons come to your mailbox, or you can purchase multiple copies of the Sunday newspaper for maximum coupon savings.  All of these savings add up quickly!  You can easily add $100-$400 a month to your budget, the key is to place these savings towards debt, savings, Christmas or your vacation fund. Ibotta is my favorite money savings app, by clicking my referral link you will receive a $10 welcome bonus  http://bit.ly/2NWACJe.

As a mom with four growing boys who love to eat and snack, saving at the supermarket is essential for our family.  We need a variety of snacks between school lunches and for after-school sports activities.  I love the local fresh produce I have found at Lucky Supermarkets and the prices are always low. In keeping fresh fruit and veggies clean and cut in the refrigerator, I find my kids will eat more veggies and fruit.
When I am running short on time and need help with dinner I would much rather pick up a rotisserie chicken versus fast food.  I am very pleased with the ready to go food options at Lucky Supermarkets.  They even cook ribs and chicken on the grill outside the store on most weekends at the 200 El Paseo de Saratoga location.  If you are unable to cook and need to feed your family I love that this option is available to you.  I know my family feels more satisfied eating freshly cooked meats rather than going through the drive-thru.

I also love the ClickCart online ordering service, with curbside pick up this is a huge time and money saver.  At the San Jose locations, you can try ClickCart for FREE and get $10 off $50 now through November.  You can read more about that here: http://bit.ly/2NqBdWF

I hope by using these simple ways to save at the grocery store you will keep more money in your wallet.  With Christmas right around the corner, this is a simple way to save starting today.  View the Lucky ad here https://www.luckysupermarkets.com/weekly-ad, download the Lucky App, add those digital coupons and download Ibotta here http://bit.ly/2NWACJe.
