With the kids home on summer break, we go through more food.  It makes it easier on the entire family if I make a menu and plan out breakfast, lunch, and dinner for them.  Menu planning is a huge time saver as well as a money saver.  I like to make our menu for each week based on what is on sale.  Take the weekly Lucky Supermarket Ad and make my menu with ideas as I look through the ad.  It really only takes a few minutes to look through the sales and write down on our calendar our meal plan for the week.  I encourage you to plan out all three meals, I find my kids snack less if they know what is for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they are not just going through the cupboards or refrigerator on their own.
