Looking for a way to stay cool and have fun this Summer? Our family loves going to Raging Waters! We have purchased Season Passes for over ten years.  It is a great way to beat the Sacramento summer heat and have fun all summer long. We love the water slides, wave pool, and when we want to chill our favorite spot is floating in the Calyspso Cooler Lazy River! The Treehouse Reef and Shark Pool are perfect for little ones.  Free life jackets are available throughout the park at no charge. Life jackets are required for guests under 48" tall to use the wave pool.

With a season pass, you also get free entrance to the California State Fair (July 12-July 28, 2019).  That is a huge benefit if you plan on attending the State Fair, spend a little more now purchase your Raging Waters Season Pass, and you receive BOTH entrance to the water park and the California State Fair, and this way you can enjoy the Fair more than one visit.

New this year is Celebrate Kid's Day every Tuesday in June from 1- 3 PM, they have a variety of activities planned, Art in the Park, Rachel the Mermaid, Polynesian Princess and Spiderman, and Local Heroes Day.  Go to RWSac.com for more details.
I know keeping the kids busy during summer vacation can be expensive.  Look for ways to save money they are out there.  One of our favorite ways to save on Raging Waters Season Passes is to purchase them during the Black Friday sale.  If you did not take part in that sale know they have a payment plan option as well as savings if you purchase 4 or more passes they are ONLY $30.99.  They have a Parking Pass for $49.99 which is a great savings. Note the parking pass is not valid during State Fair dates.  If you are going to go swimming weekly a parking pass is essential!
They have an All Season Dining Pass available which again pays for itself, they don't allow outside food or drink except sealed water bottles so I encourage you to buy the dining pass and enjoy their food options all summer long. Prices for food are a higher at all amusement parks, with a little planning and preparation you can still save money.  With the Premium Pass you will receive some great coupons that will help you save on food purchases, you can also save when you purchase on-line.  I love the All Season Dining Pass, if you are unable to purchase the pass, eat lunch before you head into the park, then you can share one meal if needed or indulge in a sweet treat like the NEW Shaved Ice, or my kiddos favorite Dippin Dots and then eat dinner when you leave the park.

We plan ahead of time and budget for our passes, parking pass, dining passes and souvenir cup. This is a great tip to keep in mind for next year, put a little bit of cash every month in an envelope for summer fun, then when summer comes you have designated funds set aside and it is easier on your monthly budget.
With your All Season Dining Pass ($59.99) you receive a full meal with every visit.  They have a Carl's Jr inside the park, NorCal Pizza next to Carl's Jr, and near the Wave Pool is Beach Side BBQ which serves barbecue, chicken strips and more.  They have other fun treat options like Shaved Ice and Dippin Dots, not included with the Dining Pass. Some of my favorites are the BBQ Brisket Sandwich and Pulled Pork Nachos.  My boys love the NorCal Pizza, the slices are big enough to have them slice in two to share.  If you are going to frequent all summer long I recommend the UNLIMITED Refill Souvenir Cup for $27.99 (on-line), refills are only .99!

There are private Cabana rentals available, that come with lounge chairs, a table and inner tubes.  You can reserve these on-line or at the park on a first come first serve basis.  We have not rented a Cabana we have never had a problem finding a lounge chair and area to relax, there are plenty of chairs and grassy spots to lay out a towel and enjoy the sunshine.
Be sure to bring sunscreen and hats.  I also recommend swim shoes, the cement gets extremely hot and when you are walking from the wave pool to a slide, those swim shoes come in handy.  There is a store inside the park in case you need sunscreen, or something else.

Another item I love bringing is a waterproof phone pouch, not only for my phone but to carry my passes and cash/card.  On your season pass is a sticker for entry into the State Fair, you don't want that sticker to get wet, they charge a small fee to reprint those stickers.

There are lockers on site to rent to keep your belongings.  I try not bring anything of value, with my waterproof pouch I am able to carry my phone and cash, we have never felt the need to rent a locker.
